Snatchers is a text-adventure with voice over, some graphics and a little whack a mole minigame. It was released 1988 by Konami and was one of Hideo Kojima's earlier works.

The year is 2047. The world is a cyberpunk distopian future. You are Gillian Seed; you and your wife lost your memories and split up. Still struggling you took on a job as a 'Junker' in Neo Kobe. Junkers are supposed to track down and eliminate Snatchers, robots disguising themselves as humans.
The main gameplay of Snatcher consists of talking to people and investigating crime scenes. A few times in the game there are little shooter elements that can be described as a glorified whack a mole game.
