You might not have played Dawngate (PC)

Dawngate is a MOBA game that was in development and beta by Waystone Games, but is now canceled.

Gameplay: MOBA, Multiplayer
Dawngate does not differ too much from existing, established MOBA's like League of Legends and Dota2.
Every player controls a single unit while small npc-controled units run down lanes in order to take down enemy structures and ultimately the 'Guardian' (main building) to win the game. There is a jungle and certain map objectives. The 'Parasite' for example is the Dawngate equivalent of Baron from League of Legends, but killing him does not only grant your team a strong buff, but will also spawn stronger NPC's in your lane to help you push for victory.
It is neat little things like this that make this game unique. By giving you access to "Super Minions" before you pushed a Lane to the end, you have an easier time overcoming enemies trying to stall with aoe-clear, which in turn keeps the game more interesting and fluid.
In addition to that I really enjoy that the game appears more straight forward than DotA and LoL. While DotA is quite limited by it's Tri-Stat System that was more or less abducted from Wc3, League of Legends did a step in the right direction by enforcing its own rules and systems specifically catered to the game. This led to LoL being easier to understand and have more options to apply interesting balance to the game and its roles. Dawngate goes a step further than LoL in my opinion and delivers a very good experience.

If you are a fan of the MOBA genre, give this game a try.
