You might not have played Metal Warriors (SNES)

Metal Warriors is a game developed by LucasArts and was released in 1995.

Gameplay: Shooter, 2D, Singleplayer, Multiplayer
In Metal Warriors you are the pilot of a huge mech. The goal of each mission is usually reaching a specific spot on a planet or spaceship, but there is different reasons to do so. One time you have to rescue someone one time you have to take over a space station. Even though that is nearly the same from a gameplay point of view, these differences prevent the game from getting dull.
In order to fight your way towards your target you can use the weaponry of your mech and other mechs you find along the way. In total there are six Mech-Types that are all able to perform the basic actions to attack with a melee attack and a ranged attack, defend from projectiles with a shield, Fly or hover for mobility and use special weapons you find on your way. These mechs are quite different in their attributes and weaponry though. Grab a new mech when you see one but beware when hijacking them from your enemies because you are very vulnerable while outside of your mech.

Play the game in an online emulator.
